Jean-Luc Menu, founding partner and member of the Paris Bar, is specialized in corporate tax law (mergers and acquisitions), tax pre-litigation and litigation procedures and company law (corporate groups).

With a degree in private law and as a graduate of the highly regarded Ecole Nationale des Impôts, Jean-Luc Menu began his career in 1973 working for the tax administration before eventually joining the largest French law firm Fidal in their Lille office in 1979 as counsel to large corporations. In 1987, he was appointed managing partner to head the Large Corporations Department at Fidal Paris.

A recognised expert, Mr Menu has long advised the highest corporate levels of leading French private and listed groups on their structuring including, in some cases, relationships that span over 30 years.

His extensive legal and tax experience have resulted in regular exchanges with the highest tax administration departments on matters of corporate group taxation (legislation on tax integration/consolidation, tax administration statutory interpretations regarding mergers, tax convergence, common European corporate tax base, etc.).

In addition to the strong ties forged over several decades with many of his family-held company clients, Jean-Luc Menu’s techniques and experience offer their corporations true added value.

Mr Menu’s professional affiliations include membership in the Institut des Avocats et Conseils Fiscaux (IACF) and the International Fiscal Association (IFA). He formerly served on the Tax and Constitutional Commission of the Club des Juristes chaired by Bernard CAZENEUVE.
