Caroline Semeria, founding partner and member of the Paris Bar, is specialized in corporate tax law.

She handles matters in restructuring and acquisitions as well as tax management, and develops tax strategies for domestic and international corporate groups.

Ms. Semeria is also specialized in the tax treatment of complex financial instruments.

 

Caroline Semeria began her career as a tax lawyer in 1998 at Arthur Andersen Legal, then continued her practice from 2001 to 2007 as a partner in the Large Corporations Department of France’s largest law firm, Fidal Paris.

 

Ms. Semeria earned an advanced degree in business and tax law (Magistère de Droit des Affaires et Fiscalité) from the University of Paris II-Assas, and a post-graduate qualification in tax (DJCE Certificat de Droit Fiscal) from the University of Paris II-Assas and Boalt Hall School of Lawof the University of California at Berkeley (USA).

 

She is a member of the Institut des Avocats et Conseils Fiscaux (IACF), International Fiscal Association (IFA), and the Association Française de Femmes Fiscalistes (A3F) and a participant of the Direction Fiscale de l’Association Française des Entreprises Privées (AFEP)

 

Ms. Semeria is formerly a lecturer in tax law at the University of Paris II-Assas.
